| Currently, there are approximately 120,000 customers participating in PSE&G’s Cool Customer Program. In return for bill credits, participants allow PSE&G to cycle their electric central air conditioners and heat pumps on and off at short intervals when demand for electricity is highest. Cycling is limited to weekdays between noon and 10:00 p.m., and never on weekends or holidays. The program is active each summer, June through September.
At this time, no new participants are being accepted, as the Cool Customer program is full. For program questions, please call 1-800-626-2062.
