In order to bring about significant culture change, PSEG created Health & Safety Councils at the local, departmental, and PSEG levels. The union-management Health & Safety Councils are the backbone of the entire system and make the grass roots, employee-led safety concept a practical reality. Today, a system of 70+ Councils with more than 500 employees is in operation at PSEG. These employees dedicate their time, effort and expertise to transforming the culture.
